Here at Hurley & Davies, we have always realised the potential value of technology and for years, we have partnered with technology providers to enhance our construction services with digital products.
With decades of experience behind us, in 2020 we invested in our own in house digital solutions capability, headed up by our Chief Digital Officer, Rob Saddler, to create software solutions to manage the physical estate.
We are also proud to be a RICS Tech Partner!
Our flagship product, SiteWise, is a cloud-based one-stop-shop for managing all estate related items and has been successfully used to capture survey data and building information in many sectors in recent years.
SiteWise can track and monitor the progress of identified works and has the ability to analyse and integrate survey data at any configured level of the estate. The system provides reports at an executive board level, where for example decisions on disposals or investments can be made by comparing the financial and risk profiles of buildings across the portfolio.
At the opposite end, fine grain reports can be produced at an elemental level across any part of the estate. Essentially, anything that is data captured by
SiteWise can be used as a reporting pivot by the data analysis engine which gives you the flexibility to carve your reports in whatever way is useful. Typical examples include costs by site, building, element, condition, priority, risk, and year.
SiteWise
As well as managing physical condition, SiteWise is extensible with additional modules, and other facets such as functional suitability, statutory compliance, and space utilisation are currently on the development roadmap. The system has been designed using customer-centric design principles that focus on maximising flexibility and minimising complexity so we don't try to second guess how you'll want to use your data and we never paint you into a corner. For example:
What's more, SiteWise has been developed using Microsoft technologies so it can easily integrate with products such Office 365 or Microsoft Dynamics. If this is of potential interest to you, please let us know.
SiteWise has been developed using familiar software paradigms based on the Microsoft Office products so if you can use Excel or Word, you'll be right at home using SiteWise. Every screen follows a simple pattern that has a data grid where you can add, edit and delete data. You can also sort, filter, and export data from any screen, and if you get stuck, every screen has a quick help pop-up to guide you through.
SiteWise records an absolute minimum of personal data for authentication purposes only so its GDPR compliance footprint is negligible - even so, users of the system can choose to download their data and delete their account at any time. The system also supports 2 factor authentication using mobile authenticator applications such as those from Google or Microsoft and has a simple but effective authorisation system that allow you to manage user rights for each module and their individual features.
When developing additional modules, we prefer to partner with our clients to ensure the product is fit-for-purpose and battle-hardened with useful, real world scenarios. If this interests your organisation or if SiteWise could be adapted in any other way to suit your needs, please let us know.
